Orton is slowly walking to the ring with Batista’s strap over his shoulder. He says first things first. Ted and Cody just beat the Colons, so they’re contenders for the Unified Championships. He hopes Batista doesn’t use what happened earlier as an excuse not to show up tonight. Orton shows video of what happened for those who might have missed it. Orton reminds us that Vicki said, before resigning, that he’s entitled to the rematch tonight. If Batista doesn’t show up for a count of ten Orton will win by forfeit. Lilian announce Orton as the former WWE Champion invoking his rematch clause. She then announces Batista as Champion. He doesn’t get music. “Batista” chants. Then Batista’s music starts and... No Dave. Orton demands the ref count to ten now. “Batista” chants. The ambulance is shown out back. The ref stops the count due to the ambulance backing in. Huge “Batista” chants. Then HHH is on the screen and Legacy quickly leave the ring. They come back in with chairs. HHH has come out of the ambulance with his sledge in hand. He’s seething. HHH’s music plays and he comes out. Cody runs up with chair in hand, HHH dispatches him with one blow of the sledge. Ted runs up with his chair and HHH dispatches him as easily. HHH throws off the sledge and rips apart his shirt as he takes it off. HHH into the ring and Orton attacks, but it doesn’t take long before HHH is in control. Orton flees the ring and HHH follows. Orton in the barrier and more, but Orton fights back. Orton grabs a chair but no luck. Orton head first into announce. The shield comes off. Orton head first into announce again. HHH grabs a monitor and goes after Orton, but Orton kicks HHH. HHH drops it. Orton flees through the crowd but HHH goes after him and flies onto him slamming them both to the concrete floor. HHH beats the heck out of Orton against a railing and then dumps him back over the barrier into the ring area. Orton into the ring with his chair. HHH up on the apron and into the ring. Orton rushes him but HHH grabs him and hits a spinebuster before he can use the chair. HHH slams Orton over the head with the chair. HHH continues to beat Orton across the back with the chair. Top of the chair to Orton’s legs and knees. HHH just keeps going as Orton flails around on the ring. HHH lines the top of the chair up on the back of Orton’s neck, but when it comes down it hits his shoulder blade. HHH gets right down into Orton’s face and talks to him. The fans give a “pedigree” chant that was even louder than the last ‘Batista’ chant. (I have never heard a crowd like that!) HHH looks around and everyone quiets. He sets Orton up and hits a pedigree on the chair. HHH stares down at Orton then poses over him.

Triple H was originally advertised to appear in a six-man tag-team main evet at this Saturday's WWE "Supershow" in Pensacola, Florida.

"The Game" was scheduled to team with John Cena and CM Punk against Randy Orton, Edge and Chris Jericho in six-man tag action.

However, Triple H was as of late yesterday replaced in advertisements with Jeff Hardy. So the match is now Jeff Hardy, Cena and Punk vs. Orton, Edge and Jericho.

Vince McMahon and his creative team currently feel that the quality of the Monday Night RAW is strong. Vince wants there to be differences in the content between his various TV shows, and one company source sees silver lining in this by pointing out that SmackDown is able to have such quality wrestling because RAW is Vince’s sports entertainment variety show. The problem, is that RAW is the company’s flagship show and is usually how the general public judges the company.

This week’s episode of RAW was mostly straight from Vince McMahon, to the point that one source says he essentially dictated the direction of the show to the creative team.

For months now, some colleagues have been crediting Triple H and Shawn Michaels for trying their best to weed out some of the campy stuff Vince and lead writer Brian Gewirtz produce. Even people who don’t like HHH backstage are saying that he should soon be taking the reigns from Vince as the creative head of the company. Triple H is seen as the most likely candidate for the job due to his family ties, but sources within the company also acknowledge that Triple H does have a good understanding of what the fans want and who their target audience really should be.

Triple H has been at the recent RAW shows, but one backstage observer notes that he isn’t as emotionally attached or involved in the show when he’s not wrestling. In other words, he might be saving his ideas for when he returns to television.

"Like father, like daughter," might be a slight variation of the popular cliche, but it seems to fit Stephanie McMahon's ongoing power play behind the WWE curtains to phase out her father's crew of important people.

Much like Vince McMahon slowly accomplished after taking over the company from his father in 1982, sources tell us Steph is putting the same pieces in place with Gerry Brisco as the next victim.

Brisco - a road agent and WWE Hall of Famer - is currently serving an endless term of employment for Vince & Company, due to selling Vince his share of interest in Georgia Championship Wrestling back in the 1980's. He travels to all events, runs the "Gorilla Position" and times out the shows, the latter of which is now being taught to Billy Kidman.

The original backup to Brisco was Bruce Pritchard, but he was released in December of last year. Kidman was selected in part because Johnny Laurinaitis likes him, but also due to his lack of ties to Vince. Stephanie can consider him as part of "her crew". Currently, Kidman is sitting next to Brisco at tapings learning how to time shows while they're in the process of running.

While Brisco is the latest move made by Vince's "little princess", it's definitely not her first. Johnny Ace's replacement of Jim Ross as Head of Talent Relations was the first major step.

She continued to add to her own plate by taking over the entire Talent Relations division, in addition to being put in charge of Writing. It's also been said that her and Hunter have complained about some of the older guys, including Jack Lanza and Sgt. Slaughter.

Slaughter was released earlier this year and Lanza has been reduced to an email consultant that no one ever consults.

Well, I went to the tapings last night. I went up early before the show to watch the wrestlers arrive. What was REALLY cool was that I saw Hunter outside his bus playing with one of his daughters. I saw the nanny and the security guards playing ball with her or whatever. Stephanie came out of the bus and played with the daughter. Vince arrives in a limo and he played with both daughters. It was really cool to see them act like a family.
